Soymilk & Hope is committed to making hygiene essentials accessible for under resourced college students and families with minors in the Triangle and surrounding areas. By bridging the gap in hygiene insecurity left by government assistance programs, we aim to promote wellness, protect dignity, and offer care to our community.
Essential Care Initiative
BODY & HOME CARE
The Body & Home Care Essentials Program provides personal hygiene items to college students and families with minor children in Wake, Durham, and Johnston counties. We recognize that access to basic necessities, like laundry detergent and personal toiletries, is a critical component of health, confidence, and household stability. By serving these families, we help bridge the gap for those striving to maintain a safe and dignified home environment.
CAMPUS & CLASSROOM CARE
The Campus & Classroom Care Program bridges the gap in the academic environment. We believe that a student’s focus should be on their education, not on whether they have access to personal care items. This program serves students at colleges, universities, and schools across several counties, providing them with the dignity and confidence needed to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
Eligibility, Requirements, & Restrictions
Eligibility:

Requirements:

Must reside in Wake, Durham, or Johnston County

Must provide proof of residency for each household member

Acceptable documents include NC ID, current lease or utility bill in applicant's name, school record, or county document

Must match the address listed on the application

Referrals accepted from partner organizations

Referring agency must vet applicants to ensure eligibility

Restrictions:
We deeply appreciate your interest and want to ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to apply. Please note that requests are limited to once every six months per household, with priority given to new applicants.
We reserve the right to refuse service to individuals for disruptive or unsafe behavior or behavior that causes delays in providing our services (i.e. multiple rescheduled pickups or no show). Thank you for your understanding.
